In 2017, my grandparents sold their farmhouse property. Having grown up internationally, the farm had become one of the few consistent places I ever returned to, holding a dear place in my heart. As my grandparents moved to the city, I created Family History as a gift to honour their old home. Going through decades of family photos, scanning film, and working with the images in fabric and thread deepened my understanding of my Canadian roots. Today, the piece hangs in their new home, a faithful reminder of the past.
